To log out of your course, you can either close your browser window or click the Log Out link located at the top-right corner of the course page.


What do I do if my Internet connection fails while in the middle of a test? [Back to top]

You can log back into your course again and complete your test, but you must first reestablish your Internet connection. Unless there is no time limit on the test,you must still log into your test within the allotted time window in order to complete it. If the test does have a timelimit and you are not able to re-enter to complete it, you will need to contact your instructor immediately and let him/her know of this issue.

There are two main issues that may hinder your computer's ability to view the course content.

Clearing Cache on Microsoft ® Internet Explorer 6.0
  1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
  2. Make sure you are in the General tab.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Click Delete Cookies (make sure that little box is checked).
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Close.
Clearing Cache on Microsoft ® Internet Explorer 7.0
  1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
  2. Make sure you are in the General tab.
  3. Under Browsing History, click the Delete button.
  4. Click Delete All (in the Temporary Internet Files section).
  5. Click OK.

Clearing Cache on Firefox 2.0 / 3.0
  1. From the Tools menu, select Options.
  2. Click the Privacy icon.
  3. Click Clear Now in the Private Data area.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Exit and re-launch the browser.

Clering Cache on Netscape ® Communicator / Navigator 9.0
  1. From the Tools menu, select Options.
  2. Click Privacy.
  3. Under the Private Data section, click Clear Now.
  4. Check the Cache box and Clear Private Data Now.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Close and reopen your browser.

Clearing Cache on Chrome 4.0 / 5.0
  1. Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Tools.
  3. Select Clear browsing data.
  4. In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove.
  5. Use the "Clear data from this period" menu to select the amount of data that you want to delete.
  6. Click Clear browsing data.

Macintosh Browsers

Clearing Cache on Safari 2.0 / 3.0
  1. From the Safari menu, select Empty Cache.
  2. When the pop-up window opens, click Empty.

Clearing Cache on Firefox 2.0 / 3.0
  1. From the Tools menu, select Clear Private Data.
  2. Check the Cache checkbox only.
  3. Click Clear Private Data Now.

Clearing Cache on Chrome 4.0 / 5.0
  1. Go to the menu bar at the top of your screen and select Chrome
  2. Select Clear Browsing Data to open the Clear Browsing Data dialog window.
  3. In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove.
  4. Use the "Clear data from this period" menu to select the amount of data that you want to delete.
  5. Click Clear browsing data.
